The Old Dairy

This pub has an amazing history, as it used to be a creamery (hence the name!) and is in a stunning building. Food is great and it has just had a refurb, so is a lovely place to go any time of the day.

Locals of Finsbury Park and Stroud Green are very proud to have this new theatre in the area. It opened in 2013 and has very varied performances. It's right behind Finsbury Park Station.

Blighty Coffee

Blighty Coffee

A coffee shop with a difference! Great food, lovely staff, quirky décor and even better coffee, all in the heart of Blackstock Road. There's a lounge area and garden, complete with an air-raid shelter and table tennis, which is the perfect place to hide away from the hustle and bustle of Finsbury Park. It's more than a coffee shop, Blighty is a community.

My Cottage Café

"Seven Sisters Road was named after the seven daughters of Robert the Bruce, who planted seven elm trees along this route."

The Mackenzie Garden in Finsbury Park is a peaceful spot that I like to visit when I have the time.

Vikki Broad

There's a peaceful spot along the New River, which winds unassumingly through the residential streets to Finsbury Park.

North London remains for me the essence of London living...urban and innovative against a backdrop of centuries of history...

What locals say about Finsbury Park

  1. Finsbury park is full of life from all cultures. A lively place with a fantastic variety of coffee shops and restaurants and of course, lovely Finsbury Park.

  2. Finsbury Park is lively, without being scary; independent without being up-itself. Stroud Green Road had some excellent places to eat and just minutes away you can find a peaceful haven, spotting jays along the hidden treasure of Parkland Walk, a former train line that is now nature reserve.

About Finsbury Park

Finsbury Park is a 46 hectare (115 acre) public park in the London Borough of Haringey. Officially part of the London area of Harringay, it is also adjacent to Stroud Green, the Finsbury Park district and Manor House. It was one of the first of the great London parks laid out in the Victorian era. The park provides a large green space in central north London. It has a mix of open ground, formal gardens, avenues of mature trees and an arboretum area with a mix of more unusual trees. There is also a lake, a children's play area, a cafe and an art exhibition space. The stretch of Seven Sisters Road running past Finsbury Park is open to the park on the west side, and on the east side are large Victorian villas now mainly used as hotels.
