"The black ties worn by pupils at Harrow School were implemented at the time of Queen Victoria's death. After the initial mourning period, they were never instructed to revert back to their original ties, meaning that they are still black to this day."

Not only is Harrow School one of the best in the country, it's also steeped in history and beautifully designed.

What locals say about HA1

  1. It has easy access to London and the motorways too!

  2. I love Harrow on the Hill so much as the area is cosmopolitan, has a selection of independently owned businesses and has great transport links into central London.

  3. Harrow on the Hill is a gem, as yet undiscovered by the majority of Londoners. Every person I have introduced to the Hill has, without exception, loved its old world, unspoilt charm and the beautiful historic buildings of Harrow School. A surprisingly easy commute to the City, Canary Wharf and central London...it's not going to remain undiscovered for too long....

  4. Out of town location, however easy commute to central London.

  5. Harrow on the Hill is so clean and silent. Also the transportation to the centre of London is very comfortable by tube. The peace and quiet in Harrow on the Hill always makes me feel refreshed.

  6. Great local market, town centre, outstanding schools and very good connectivity to central London.
