The Anchor
The Anchor on the River Wey between Pyrford Village and Wisley Gardens. Great place to sit in the summer, if you can get a table that is!
"Sir Barnes Wallis, designed the bouncing bomb immortalised in "the Dambusters" book and film, while living in Effingham. A very keen cricket fan, he was instrumental in establishing the KGV playing fields and pressured the council in landscaping it to get a flat playing surface."
Flowing through the centre of Guildford, you can stroll along the banks of the River Wey and appreciate its charm.
