  7. Surbiton is extremely peaceful and friendly. I live in a residential area that has a warmth to it. Crime rates are exceptionally low and people seem very friendly. Rent is reasonable as well and with trains into central London that only take 20 minutes, it is in an ideal location for commuting or just general sight seeing. There is something quite lovely about travelling past the London Eye and Houses of Parliament on the way in to London. It doesn't quite feel real yet. The local bars are friendly and offer a really good hearty meal. Surbiton's high street offers all the shops for your convenience and the avid shopper can easily walk into Kingston for some more serious spending.

  8. I've recently moved to the area from Manchester and I'm glad I made the move. Great rail links, nice restaurants and pubs and a real community feel.

  9. Surbiton is a beautiful area, with the River Thames and cosmopolitan Kingston nearby. Great restaurants and Central London is 30 minutes away by train. Surbiton is the best place to live in London!

  10. The Queen of the suburbs! 20 minutes to London, the River Thames on your doorstep and close proximity to the commercial centre of Kingston. As well as direct roads out of the city, there's two international airports within easy reach too. Perfectly situated!

  11. I love living in the leafy outskirts of suburban London with the enchanting River Thames on your doorstep - while I'm able to reach the centre of town and all the fun that it has to offer in just 15 minutes by train! Being very close to the Surrey County border, I can drive out to the North Downs and Box Hill effortlessly in 30 minutes and reach the seaside in just over one hour!
