Open every Sunday, you can enjoy a Sunday walk in the park and have a bite to eat and a pint in the middle of it! Great day out with family or friends on a nice and sunny day.

Il Bordello

A family-run Italian with turbot bigger than my face! Their service is outstanding and one that we can all learn from and appreciate the lack of nowadays.

A rooftop bar next to Tobacco Dock open Thursday to Sunday. Brilliant views, a good selection of drinks, croquet in the summer and an ice rink in the winter.

Clutch

An incredible restaurant in east London. Bright yellow and tiny in size, it serves the best fried chicken with American-style sides, including the dill and pomegranate slaw, which is unreal! Booking is recommended...

Bistrotheque

This place is great for brunches and lunches. They have a cabaret place downstairs so you really could stay all day if you wanted to!

Swing Patrol Victoria Park

Swing Patrol Victoria Park

I love the beginner swing dance classes at The Royal Inn on the Park every Tuesday. The classes are fun, the teachers and students are friendly and the dancing is great! A great way to meet new people, get some exercise and, of course, learn to dance.

The Culpeper

The Culpeper

A great brunch menu on a Saturday and the service is excellent. The full English and the anchovy butter is a nice touch.

The Palm Tree

The Palm Tree

A local drinking institution that retains its traditional decor - a proper East End boozer with plenty of character in Millennium Park.

Why not explore the nearby areas of Bow, Victoria Park, Limehouse, Bethnal Green, Homerton, Whitechapel, Stratford, Poplar, Hackney and West Ham

"Mile End takes its name from the fact that it was where the first milestone was placed away from Aldgate in the City."

There's no better place in London than Wapping! I love the impressive mix of modern developments and historic buildings.

Asim Naim

The combination of historic and modern excites me..to the East is the delights of Brick Lane and to the West is the City...all based around Spitalfields cobbled market, where it seems you can buy anything...

Andrew Phillips

Whitechapel's residential buildings and mixed architecture are on the doorstep of vibrant Shoreditch and the bustling City.

About Tower Hamlets

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is a London borough to the east of the City of London and north of the River Thames. It is in the eastern part of London and covers much of the traditional East End. It also includes much of the redeveloped Docklands region of London, including West India Docks and Canary Wharf. Many of the tallest buildings in London are located on the Isle of Dogs in the south of the borough. Tower Hamlets, in spite of being close to the centre of London and perhaps retaining the idea of it being the docklands area, has over 100 areas of parks and open spaces within its boundaries. These range from the huge (Victoria Park) to small gardens and squares.
