Imagine stepping out of your front door to be met with a plethora of award-winning restaurants - that’s what it’s like living in Shoreditch. Whether you’re a pizza lover, bottomless bruncher, or you just fancy eating a carbonara out of a huge cheese wheel (like we all do), you’ll absolutely love this area of East London. Although being spoiled for choice has many perks, it can sometimes be hard to pick out the absolute best spots. That’s why DesignMyNight curated this guest guide to the ultimate restaurants to visit in Shoreditch.
Serata Hall
If you’re looking for elegance, decadence and everything in between, then you must try Serata Hall. This place is the definition of beautiful (get ready to take LOTS of pictures), plus the menu is packed with the best kind of comfort food: think coal-fired pizzas topped with pink vodka sauce, delicious pasta dishes and amazing cocktails. If you’ve been for dinner, you’re also going to want to book in for bottomless brunch, where you can make your own tailored cocktails from their DIY bubbly cocktail kit.

Gloria
Go big or go home - that’s the way Gloria rolls. This Italian wonderland in Shoreditch serves up some of the tastiest dishes that will never ever leave you hungry. Try their enormous cheese wheel filled with carbonara and follow this with a giant slice of lemon pie (which includes a 5.9 inch meringue layer) - is your mouth watering yet? If you fancy a little taste of Italy without venturing too far from home, then Gloria is for you.

Burger and Beyond
To infinity (and Burger) and Beyond! Winning award after award as one of the best burger joints in London, this place definitely deserves your full attention. They have an extraordinary happy hour from 5pm to 7pm Monday to Thursday where almost everything is just £6.

Pachamama East
Prepare to be transported to Asia… or the next best thing at least. The Peruvian inspired menu at Pachamama East has a combination of seafood sensations, meaty treats and some cracking vegetarian options for those looking towards a plant-based diet. If you fancy popping over here on a weekend, you should definitely consider their ‘beats and bottomless brunch’ - a combination of banging food and a DJ set to bop to whilst you eat - sounds like a recipe for success.

Aviary
The best way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city from down below? If you’re in Shoreditch it’s to travel up ten floors to a little place called Aviary. You’ll love Aviary for its sensational views of the London skyline, but you’ll love it even more for its mouth-watering dishes - you’ve got to try their oysters and if you have enough room, their juicy coal oven steaks. The terrace is heated too and come the winter months they pop some igloos on there, so no need to shy away from this spot when it’s time to wrap up in your woollies.
Address: 10th Floor, 22 - 25, Finsbury Square, EC2A 1DX
Daffodil Mulligan
If you’re looking for a restaurant that doubles as a lucky Irish charm, then Daffodil Mulligan is just the ticket. This place will become your new favourite meet up spot, especially after you try the fresh seafood dishes and sharing platters (which you won’t want to share) - plus, all their meats are sourced straight from the Emerald Isle. If you venture downstairs, you’ll stumble across Gibneys, a little basement bar that allegedly pours the best Guinness in London but you can be the judge of that.

Dirty Bones Shoreditch
When searching for immaculate vibes and good times in Shoreditch, you need to try out Dirty Bones. The New York inspired menu - including cheeseburger dumplings and chicken waffles - plus the banging cocktails and boozy brunches are insert *chef’s kiss*. Sit back and relax whilst listening to old school hip hop tunes (you’ll defo be dancing in your seat to all the bangers) - and keep an eye out for their ‘dirty DJ’ sets on Friday and Saturday nights - you’d be a fool to miss out.

Blues Kitchen
If you haven’t been to Blues Kitchen yet, then you’re seriously missing out. Their smokin’ menu features baby back ribs and rib eye steaks - all the good stuff. Plus, if you head down on a Wednesday, you can grab yourself £5 cocktails during their happy hour from 5pm (they are divine). Incredible blues bands play here every night too and they’re sure to have you up dancing and out of your food coma in no time. Head down to grab a jazzy meal with friends on the weekend or grab a cheeky post-work cocktail midweek - whatever the occasion, you won’t be disappointed.

Pizza Pilgrims
The number one question you must ask yourself when moving to a new area is: is there a good pizza place nearby. Pizza Pilgrims is better than the best, and it happens to serve up some of the tastiest pizzas in Shoreditch. Plus, you simply have to try the ferrero rocher espresso martini - the perfect drink to wash down a pizza with. Another little tip: if you bring along your own chocolate bar, they will wrap it in dough and bake it for you. You can thank us later.

Surround yourself with sushi dishes, hirata buns or prawn tempura (or all of them - nobody’s judging) for the ultimate experience. Top your week off by heading down on Friday and Saturday nights for their weekly DJ seshes and bottomless brunch sessions.
