Unique homemade cocktails in the middle of Brixton Market, made using their own secret recipes. A small place, but very nice for a date. They also sell food.

Why not explore the nearby areas of Herne Hill, Clapham North, Clapham, Streatham Hill, Stockwell, Camberwell, Dulwich, Nine Elms, Vauxhall and Balham

"Once a theatre and cinema and opened in the 1920s, Brixton Academy was bought for £1 in 1983 after falling into debt and has been the venue for many notable artists, including The Clash, the Sex Pistols and more recently Sam Smith."

I love the authentic street food you can get from Brixton Market...an inspiration for the adventurous foodie...

What locals say about Brixton

  1. Brixton is such a vibrant area and has lots of energy. I have lived here since 1971!

  2. A great range of places to eat out in and around the market, quick and easy to get into central London too.

  3. Great food, great transport links and some nice quiet areas and parks.

  4. I love the diversity of the area. That you can walk down streets and find beautiful artisan cafes and one-off design shops alongside Caribbean food stalls and lots of second hand shops. I love the architecture of the area with the Ritzy, library and city hall all showing remnants of an older Brixton. I love that you have access to some of the lovelier areas (in my opinion) in London, with Brockwell Park and its amazing views of London or Herne Hill and its lovely shops and cafes. The people in the area also make it unique. From the religious preachers outside of KFC to the steel drum players and the friendly flower man outside the station. Any walk through the area shows you something new and exciting.

  5. The transport links are great into the West End and the City where I do most of my work. With its lido and open space, nearby Brockwell Park is a fantastic place to get my exercise fix. The choice of food at the thriving Brixton Village is endless and there are plenty of bars, pubs and clubs to entertain you into the late/early hours.

  6. Brixton Market caters to all and is always buzzing.

  7. A multicultural area, always awake within a short cycle to central London or Kent. Interesting food and nice characters all around!

  8. Electric Avenue, the first street in the UK to ever have street lighting.

  9. Vibrant culture, young hip and trendy!
