Firstly, Gladstone Park offers much-needed relief from the stresses of Central London. Getting home (in approx. 18 mins) on the tube and taking a walk up on the hills keeps me balanced in mind, body and spirit. It's a proper neighbourhood. We look out for each other. If someone's dog is locked out, we take him/her back home. Last week, my son was visiting, stood on the front balcony and my neighbour rushed out wanting to know who was there. Another neighbour cut down my hedge because he I saw I was struggling with its height. People are friendly, the Jubilee line gets me in and out of inner London quickly, the park is fantastic and the uniquely painted Edwardian houses are gems to admire as I walk through.

Dollis Hill is a quiet, residential but vibrant area with cafes, pubs and restaurants that haven't been spoilt and retain their old-day charm and simplicity. There is also Gladstone Park that is a hidden gem and one of the largest parks in the area, with amazing outdoor sports facilities, pond, trails and a café.

Dollis Hill is a friendly and safe neighbourhood with a large park with sports groups, playing fields, cafes and a beautiful walled rose garden. The little high street near Dollis Hill Station has all you need (apart from a butchers) - greengrocer, pharmacy, Portuguese restaurant, newsagent, off-licence, convenience store and garage. A small bit of council investment could make a big difference, as it has a lovely, almost village feel.
