I love Kilburn for cheap high Street stores but close to posh west Hampstead options as well.

Kilburn is perhaps one of the most dynamic and atmospheric areas in London. Sitting comfortably in Zone 2, only 15 minutes from Oxford Circus, travelling is a breeze, and I'm never more than a 30 minute tube from the majority London has to offer. Unparalleled resources, such as 3 high-street supermarkets, an Argos, several restaurants, bars and cafes, one hardly needs to search beyond Kilburn High Road for a bargin. On the cusps of areas such as Maida Vale, St John's Wood and others, there is plenty for those who wish to explore by foot. Ideal for young professionals, i recommend Kilburn to kick-start your London adventure!

Inner city is where I live, Scant thought to residing in suburbia I'd give. My tower block greets me with friendly faces, Neighboring Hampstead and Queen's Park are fancier places. Multiple buses and stations for outer and central, Car parking space if I want it, but in Kilburn, non-essential. Big names like Smiths and Marks & Spencer, nestle alongside pubs and cheap greengrocers. Vibrant, interesting city-dwellers delight, To top it all I own a flat here outright.

Great diversity and very cosmopolitan world!

Kilburn is an area of north west London, which is divided between three London Boroughs, Brent, Camden, and a small part in Westminster. The main thoroughfare running northwest-southeast is Kilburn High Road, part of the modern A5 road which forms the boundary between the boroughs of Brent and Camden. The road dates back to pre-Roman times and is part of the Roman road known as Watling Street. The town of Kilburn has its origins in a 12th century priory on the banks of the Kilburn Brook. Kilburn today is a busy and multicultural London district. It has the highest Irish population of any London area, as well as a large Afro-Caribbean population. The green space of Kilburn Grange Park is located to the east side of Kilburn High Road.
