Lovely community spirit, small village feel in the big city!

Green Street is the buzzing multicultural heart of Forest Gate. Great fun to live here, with excellent transport links. I have an apartment with my own garden at an affordable price. Love it!

A great place to live. Affordable Victorian properties and Wanstead Flats on your doorstep. Some decent coffee shops opening on Woodgrange Road. Definitely an area on the up!

Reasonably priced housing in a great location only 13 minutes by train from Liverpool Street. The green spaces of Wanstead Flats are great for running and walking and Stratford for shopping, cinema, restaurants etc. is only a 15 minute walk. The high street is improving slowly and with Crossrail on the way, it can only get better.

Forest Gate is a residential area in the London Borough of Newham, 7 miles northeast of Charing Cross. It is bordered by Manor Park to the east and to the west lies Stratford town centre. Forest Gate is 1.5 miles east of Westfield Stratford City and the 2012 Olympic Park. The northern half of the busy Green Street runs through it and from 2018 it will have a Crossrail station. The Woodgrange Estate Conservation Area is a residential area with predominantly double-fronted Victorian three and four bedroomed houses built between 1887 and 1892. To the north of the railway running through Forest Gate is the "village" with terraced streets named for the Oxford Martyrs (including Latimer, Ridley and Cranmer) running up to the open spaces of Wanstead Flats.
