A small and friendly wine shop. They even sell wine from a barrel if you bring your own bottle to fill up.

Not somewhere accessible to every local, but worth a mention all the same. The pool here is set within a converted church and is one of the most relaxing places to come and reflect upon your day...or just reflect on life.

Fantastic quiz night on Tuesdays, music, really old feel pub, hasn't been gentrified. Very friendly, very low staff turnover which is a good sign.

It's reasonably priced and extremely friendly with quality food. Many regular customers so it's always a good idea to make a reservation.

The deli counter stocks a superb range of Italian cheeses, cured meats and crudités to enjoy as antipasti or ingredients. Freshly-baked breads include focaccia. Superb quality wines and spirits. The warm welcome and customer service is what makes this delicatessen authentic. A great shop in Walthamstow.

New addition to Hoe Street and another sign of positive improvement in the area. Affordable accessories for gentlemen, some of which are produced by local manufacturers; fantastic barbers, and plenty of interesting conversation while you sit and wait. The owners also produce their own beard oil on site.

Did you know?
"Vinegar Alley behind Saint Mary's Church, Walthamstow is so called because local people used vinegar to sanitise the plague pits that were dug around here."
