I love Streatham Hill, with all it's new bars, coffee shops and eateries, it has become a popular place to be, morning, midday, or evening.

I love Streatham Hill so much because of the variety of places to eat. Get fresh croissants and coffee at Le tour de France on Sunnyhill Road. Eat the best Jerk chicken at the White Lion whilst listening to great music, or eat authentic pizza with the Sicilian brothers Bravi Ragazzi, again on Sunnyhill Road.

Close to Brixton, Brixton Village and Pop Brixton. Can always get a seat on the tube from Brixton! Great restaurants at Naughty Piglets and The Shrub and Shutter.

Lived in Streatham Hill for 13 years. Has the diversity of people that Clapham and Balham don't have anymore. I can say this as I am a born and bred South Londoner and was born in Clapham. It feels safe and we have really friendly and helpful neighbours. Tooting Bec common is a stone's throw away and part of the common has a distinct villagey feel. The houses are a decent size and many of the roads are avenues.

Nestled in between Streatham Hill and Balham and right by the common, it is a quiet place but with so much on the doorstep.

Streatham Hill is such a lovely place to live. It was always okay actually, but in the last couple of years it has just improved so much. We are loving all our new cafes, bars and restaurants. We can access Balham, Brixton and Dulwich within minutes, plus the beautiful green spaces of Tooting Bec, Streatham Common & Rookery and Brockwell Park, and our house is gorgeous with a large garden. Property prices have increased quickly though, making it increasingly unaffordable to some, which is a double edged sword of course.

Acre Lane, Brixton is an ideal place to live for any busy young professionals like ourselves. Short walks to both Brixton and Clapham North/Common tube stations means we are in the city or central London within 20 minutes. There are countless pubs, shops and restaurants just minutes away and so in our leisure time we have no reason to leave this peaceful, friendly and vibrant community. Finally, a highlight in the summer months especially is Clapham Common - whether walking dogs, having a few beers or kicking a football about it's always a pleasant place to be.

Brockwell Park, now a National Trust Park is excellent with a Lido and Gym, Tennis Courts, paddling pool, play park and a old house cafe in the centre.

Streatham Hill borders desirable suburbs like Clapham and Balham, but the property prices are far more affordable. The transport links are fantastic with regular buses and easy access to the rail station. Whilst bars and restaurants are starting to establish themselves in the area, it's also convenient to get to surrounding areas. A safe and quiet area without the high property prices.
