What locals say about W9

  1. It is elegant, affluent, convenient and tree lined. It is safe to walk the streets at night and to frequent the lovely pubs and cafes. One can enjoy top rated films in the charming Everyman cinema or visit the Bridge House for an evening of theatre and good dining. There is nowhere like it in London.

  2. I love W9 because it brings many cultures together. Queen's Park is a little more rustic with the village-style high street. Maida Vale is the far more glamorous part of W9, but the contrast between the two is what makes this a great place to live.

  3. Picturesque houses and home to arguably the best park in town from a fitness perspective in Paddington Recreation Ground (newly laid track, tennis courts, indoor/outdoor gyms and so much more).

  4. Maida Vale is the perfect combination of close enough to central London, yet far enough to relax. There is the most welcoming feel about the area all year round, not just in the summer.

  5. Lovely quiet streets, Victorian terraced houses, gems like The Truscott Arms with amazing food and beer, and 20 minutes walk from Hyde Park - it's tough to beat.

  6. It's great. Good restaurants and pubs nearby. Within walking distance to Notting Hill, Portobello Road, Queens Park and loads of other great places. Good transport links to Central London and motorways. Nice parks. The Little Venice Canal nearby with nice cafes. Very, very happy living here. Love it. It has everything and to boot it has a nice residential feel to it too (not like parts of Camden / Islington, where it is just manic).

  7. The best part of living in Maida Hill? Difficult, so many good things: including convenient location for travel in and out of Central London Buses and Tubes (Zone 2) / walking distance of many good pubs and restaurants / good community / diversity / quietness.
