We really enjoyed being in Stockwell, there are plenty of hidden gems (Priory Arms, Canton Arms, SW9 coffee, Moonstruck Cafe, etc) so you don't have to go to Clapham/Brixton/Battersea but you're very close if you want to. Having both Victoria and Northern lines so close makes getting around London very easy for commute or activities. The flat really get a lot of light during the day especially in the living room making the space really cosy and having a usable balcony always felt like a treat. As a cyclist having a communal secure bike storage on the 3rd floor was also a blessing.
