A really nice afternoon out if you are new to London, have visitors or just want something to do one day. Amazing uninterrupted views over London and on a clear day you can see for over 30 miles!

On the 35th floor of the Shard, Ting delivers the astonishing views that you would expect. What I didn't expect was the incredible food that was pretty good value for money - £55 for four mouth-watering courses and the prettiest dessert I've ever seen!

They have a few stores around, but this is the best. Curly Whirly cake is the food stuff of legends, the most chocolatey chocolate cake ever!

The only pub where you can pull your own pints from your table! Every table also has its own iPad from which you can order drinks and food - the novelty will never wear off!

A modern new bar located on the Albert Embankment. It offers modern interiors with fantastic music, great vibes and a place to go for after work drinks. Located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, it comprises of great American food and cocktails inspired by past American presidents, hence the name POTUS (President of the United States)

Southwark is home to London Bridge station for easy access to anywhere, and the attractions of The Shard, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and Borough Market promote different cultures from all over the world. Steeped in history with butlers wharf as well as one of the largest universities of Europe in Kings College. With amazing views of Tower Bridge every night, i can't think of anywhere else in the world I would rather be right now.

Southwark is a district of London, and the administrative headquarters of the London Borough of Southwark. Situated 1.5 miles (2.4 km) east of Charing Cross, it forms one of the oldest parts of central London and fronts the River Thames to the north. It historically formed an ancient borough in the county of Surrey, made up of a number of parishes, which increasingly came under the influence and jurisdiction of the City of London. As an inner district of London, Southwark experienced rapid depopulation during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
