Nothing quite like sitting down with a cold, crisp glass of wine after a stroll along the south bank. The bar on the 6th floor of Tate Modern also comes with one of the best views in town AND the added benefit of supporting a fantastic arts institution. Later weekend opening times make this a great place to watch the sunset.

They have a few stores around, but this is the best. Curly Whirly cake is the food stuff of legends, the most chocolatey chocolate cake ever!

The only pub where you can pull your own pints from your table! Every table also has its own iPad from which you can order drinks and food - the novelty will never wear off!

A small theatre where all the seating has good angles. Reasonable ticket prices and performances by extremely talented people. There is also a food and drink area.

A really nice afternoon out if you are new to London, have visitors or just want something to do one day. Amazing uninterrupted views over London and on a clear day you can see for over 30 miles!

In common with much of the south bank of the Thames, The Borough has seen extensive regeneration in the last decade. Borough is generally an area of mixed development, with council estates, major office developments, social housing and high value residential gated communities side by side with each other.
