Just along Mitcham Lane, this cafe serves a delicious brunch menu. The coffee is really good and the dishes are all served with a MUD twist - the prettiest breakfast I've ever seen!

The best fresh coffee, croissants and bread. Lovely family-owned independent. Get there early for their bread and croissants - they sell out fast.

The Hamlet

The best decor I have ever seen in a bar. The Hamlet is almost like a Hidden Gem in Streatham. Beautiful food, cocktails and staff.

Brooks and Gao

One of only a few decent coffee shops on Streatham High Road. It's slightly pricier than its competitors, but for the quality of the food and coffee, it's justified.

Perfect Blend

Lovely place for a coffee in the morning before getting in to the office and amazing cooked breakfasts with thick milkshakes. It turns into a bar at night with an extensive cocktail menu and it's open until 2am!

"In the '70s and '80s, 32 Ambleside Avenue, Streatham was used as a brothel run by infamous madam Cynthia Payne. Here, well heeled gentlemen, including MPs and judges, could exchange luncheon vouchers for the women's services."

A mixture of independent and high street shops line Streatham High Road, which has seen great development over the past few years.

Chris Campbell

Streatham Common is the perfect place to hang out when the sun is shining.

Stephanie Kele

A great mix of independent and high street stores gives Balham a real community feel that always impresses my clients.
